People think the HIV/AIDS crisis is over. It’s not!

Did you know that Delaware consistently ranks in the top six states for HIV infection rates per capita in the country? This ranking is a core aspect of our mission at AIDS Delaware. No person should contract HIV. It is a 100% preventable disease. But our caseload continues to increase each year and the infection rate remains steady. As new treatments become available there is hope at least for the postponement of death. There is no cure and no vaccine.

All funds in raised in Delaware stay in Delaware. Our services focus on three primary functions: Education & Outreach, Counseling & Testing, and Case Management. 80% of every dollar raised goes directly to our programs. We keep our overhead down!

How can your company or organization be a Corporate or Community Leader? Here are a few ways:

  1. Sponsor an event. We hold four major fundraising events every year: Dining Out for Life, Dining Out for Life at the Beach, AIDS Walk Delaware with walks in New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties, and A Day Without Art.   2. Participate in an event and raise funds;
  3. Hold a Personal Products Drive for our Food Closet. Bars of soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, combs and brushes, hair care products, hotel-sized shampoo and lotions, canned and dry foods are all welcome.
  4. Have your members of your staff volunteer at one of our events.
